Missionaries Of Christ
Lord, we pray for all mothers, mothers-to-be, grandmothers, great grandmothers,
mothers-in-law, stepmothers, Mother Superiors, and everyone else
who acts and serves as a mother to a family, a community, a society or an organization.
Please instill in them the grace of great patience and selfless love to understand their family members.
Lend them Your strength and courage to sustain them as they experience the challenges of their calling.
Fill their hearts with the peace and joy of motherhood.
Grant them the gift of wisdom to lead their families to the right path.
Shine Your light upon all mothers so that they may be able to reflect that light towards others,
not just within their household but wherever they go, becoming shining examples of your love.
We lift them up to you so that like the Blessed Virgin Mary, they too,
would be filled with hope and unwavering faith, raising their children in accordance to Your holy will.
For mothers who are now in need of caring themselves,
may their children and loved ones find time to comfort and love them.
And as for mothers who have already left this world,
we pray that their souls rest in eternal peace and happiness with you.
All these we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
