Let us pray this when we cannot receive Holy Communion. For instance, today, there are many places in the world where people cannot attend the Holy Mass physically because of lockdowns. Even if people want to attend mass, churches are closed and mass gatherings are not allowed outside the church. People can only hear mass using digital means. This does not mean we cannot be one with God anymore. We can have spiritual communion. Let us continue to pray that this pandemic will end soon, that all those affected would get well and be able to go back to their normal lives, and that Catholic churches would again open.
An Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.
